To promote grain drying and processing on the farm, RECC offers a special 7.5-cent rate for grain bin fans, augers, and associated equipment during the months of September through May. In June, July and August the rate is the normal rate applicable for single or three-phase service. For farmsteads with other loads on the main meter, a separate meter must be installed to register the grain drying usage only. To discuss your potential savings and the metering requirement for this special rate, contact the member service department.
