Weather Records
Outdoor temperatures make a big difference in your heating and cooling costs! If you're trying to evaluate whether you're saving energy, you have to take the difference in weather into account along with your energy bills. We've inserted a link below that will help you compare temperatures from one month to the next, or this year to last year!
Besides just an average temperature record, we use an industry standard called "Heating Degree Days" to measure and compare the daily temperatures in a given time period for cold periods, and "Cooling Degree Days" to compare hotter periods. The higher the Heating Degree Days or Cooling Degree Days in a month or year, the more extreme the temperatures have been.
